Gaming
Last week we played games for 2 hours, we played the wii fit, xbox kinect, xbox, ps2 and the DS. I really enjoyed playing the kinect because it was more active and was really fun. I did find the game on the ps2 really good for education because it opened up plenty of opportunities to include the children e.g. asking the children what they could see around them and asking them where in the world they think they are in the game. Although I found it pretty boring to be honest, we found it hard knowing where to go after a certain point, but that may be due to our lack of patience. The session was really fun, we all enjoyed and certainly got carried away at some points, we found the DS pretty boring too, I gave up trying with that not long after starting because I didn't really understand how to play the game.

Weekend away with the girls!
In 8 days I am off to butlins on an adult weekend with the girls, and let's just say I CANNOT WAIT!!! On the way back from big pit we stopped to get our t-shirts we had made....They are FAB!! My nickname on the t-shirt is GOBBY...typical, Emily's fault ofcorse!! Big Pit...well...that was an experience! It wasn't as compact as I thought it would be (thank god), I never was keen on compact spaces!! I'm glad I actually went down the mine, I saw it for myself which helped me understand how horrible and frightening it must have been!

At the moment I'm here waiting the result of the debate, not that I think we've won....it's really hard trying to argue something that you really agree with. The fact that there wasn't many of us in at all didn't help! We just got the result, 42 out of 100=/ shameful!!! Although we did strongly agree with the other team, their team worked well together, were well researched and knew what they wanted to put across!! If I was a judge I would have awarded them too! We should have researched more and been better prepared. Gaming in education should definitely be balanced and it would most definitely keep their attention. :)
